Favorite Recipe: Shrimp and Grits

Grits
2 cups of water
2 cups of chicken stock
Bring liquid to boil
Add:
2 cups of Instant grits
Simmer for 5-7 min then add:
1 cup of sharp cheddar cheese
2 tbls spoons of butter
pinch of salt & pepper

Shrimp 
In a bowl season shrimp w paprika, creole seasoning & Italian seasoning
Saute bacon crisp then remove from pan break into small pieces
Saute 2 doz med shrimp in bacon fat add mushrooms , garlic & green onions for 2 min then remove

Sauce
Over med fire add heavy cream, season with paprika, creole seasoning, lee & perrins, crystal hot sauce
Let reduce then add shrimp

In a bowl put grits then spoon on shrimp and cream, top w bacon pieces and fresh parsley
